Today`s lesson has been designed for you to develop some writing and oral skills.
Read each task very carefully, take a piece of paper and prepare for both the writing and speaking activities. There are some prompts to help you get started with ideas for being creative and doing the activities correctly. They will be revised during the following session.
TASK 1
1. You are interested
in doing a photography course. Read the advertisement below and write an e-mail
(about 110 words) asking for information. Tell them why you are interested in
the course and if you have any experience. Ask questions about the duration of the
course, timetables, accommodation, price...

TASK 2
2. Write a
text of about 130 words. Follow the instructions below.
Your friend gave you two tickets to go to a fashion show. Write a
text for your blog or diary describing the show. When did you go, what did
you do?, who did you go with?, how long was it?. Describe your favourite
models and their clothes, the people at the show... Give your opinion about
it.

TASK 3
Prepare the following exercises with your
partner.
You will have to:
1.
Make an interview to your partner.
You should be able to talk about him /her around 2 minutes.
2.
The following day in the class you
will:
Introduce yourself and your partner. You will only have 2 minutes.
Example: "My name is ... and I
would like you to meet... who..."
· Give interesting information about
this person so that everyone will get to know him or her quickly.
SELECT carefully the appropriate adjectives or expressions. You should speak of his or her
personality , looks, interests, achievements, strengths, weaknesses (if he or
she has any!), "nickname", in short what makes him or her different
from the others in the "class" and absolutely unique!

Remember you can use negatives: My
partner is not at all (not in the least) selfish...
·
Do not exceed the limited time. Try
not to read your notes. Speak to the class and not just to the teacher.
·
Be entertaining! Please don't bore
us!

TASK 4
Role play with your partner (2-3 minutes):
Imagine you
and your partner want to plan a birthday party for a friend.

and drink you can offer.

How
much money you need and you have.

you will spend your money on the party.
Tasks 1 and 2 should be completed
Thursday next week (28 th January).
You will have to prepare and perform
tasks 3 and 4 on 28th January, using the first 10 minutes in asking
questions and clearing out doubts.
